Family policies

How the day works, in the words we put in your enrollment forms.

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

When to keep your child home

Please keep your child home with a fever, vomiting, diarrhea or a rash we don't recognize, and bring them back after a full day without symptoms. If your child becomes ill here, we call you right away so someone can pick them up.

Drop-off and pickup

A teacher hands each child to you at the room door. We release a child only to the adults on your written list, and we ask for ID from anyone we don't know.

Late pickup

If you will be late, call or text the front desk as soon as you know. What happens when pickup runs past closing is written in the enrollment forms, and Fermina talks with you before anything else.

Meals, snacks and allergies

We serve a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack, and a sample menu is on the day page. Families of babies bring the milk or formula. Tell us about any allergy at the tour; once you enroll, we ask again in private. A short blessing is said before lunch.

Naps and safe sleep

Babies sleep on their backs, in their own cots, with nothing else in the cot. Older children rest on mats, at the time each one needs.

Closures for weather and holidays

We close for the church's holidays and the school holidays listed in the enrollment forms. If a storm closes us, we text every family as early as we can.

Leaving the program

We ask for two weeks' notice, in writing or by text, before your child leaves the program.
